The Therapeutic Process Doesn't Take a Summer Break
Some clients connect from a hotel room or a balcony. I find that meaningful, because distance sometimes makes visible what gets lost in everyday life.
When someone feels noticeably better on holiday, that’s not a pause from the issue. It is the issue. What am I doing differently here? Less availability, fewer obligations? Sometimes something can be drawn from that and brought back into ordinary life.
When the same patterns show up even on holiday, while relaxing, without the usual stressors, that often becomes clear quickly too. That’s valuable information. It tells you where to really look.
Practically, not much is needed: a quiet moment, a stable connection and a place where you can talk undisturbed.
