Psychological Counselling

Clarity, strengths & next steps

When counselling helps

Not every difficult period amounts to mental illness. Psychological counselling is about understanding challenges, shaping perspective, and agreeing practical steps—for example during big life transitions, stress overload, or when you want support with clarity and decisions.

  • ✓No clinical diagnosis:You do not need a medical diagnosis or statutory health-insurance paperwork for this service.
  • ✓Prevention & strengths:Build on what supports you already, ease strain early, or work towards a concrete goal.

If clinical treatment appears appropriate—or you specifically want evidence-based psychotherapy—psychotherapy(online or in Cologne) may be the better fit. I'm happy to help you clarify what would suit you best.

At the practice in Cologne or online

From December 2026, counselling takes place on Mondays and Tuesdays at my practice in Cologne-Nippes (Kempener Str. 67, close to the Florastraße tram stop).

Online sessions via secure video are available across Germany, for example if you travel a lot or live abroad. The two can also be combined.
