How It Works
From your first enquiry to the end of therapy
The first step into therapy often feels bigger than it is. Here I explain what working with me looks like in practice, so you know what to expect before you reach out.
-
Get in touch or book directly
Book an appointment via Doctolib or send me a short email. I will get back to you with an appointment suggestion. Before the first session I will send you a short informed consent form to read and sign.
-
Initial session (50 minutes)
The first session is a chance to get to know each other. You tell me what is on your mind — I explain how I work and whether my offer is a good match for your situation. Afterwards you have time to decide whether you want to continue. No pressure.
-
Planning together
If we decide to work together, we agree on goals, format, and frequency. In the case of psychotherapy, the process starts with a few diagnostic sessions before the actual treatment begins. For counselling or couples therapy we can get started more directly.
-
Regular online sessions
All sessions take place via a secure, certified video platform. A session lasts 50 minutes. All you need is a device with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a quiet space.
-
Finishing – when you are ready
As therapy draws to a close, we usually space sessions further apart. That gives you time to notice what it feels like without regular support. Which topics still come up? What can you already handle on your own? We bring that into the last sessions. There is no minimum number of sessions — you can always let me know if you need a break or want to stop sooner.
Still have questions about costs, confidentiality, or the technology? The FAQ page has answers to the most common questions.
