A space for what's on your mind

When worries, exhaustion or conflict weigh on everyday life, it can help to talk things through with someone. Reaching out often takes courage, and it is a good first step.

At my practice in Cologne-Nippes I offer psychotherapy, couples therapy and counselling for adults, on Mondays and Tuesdays from December 2026. I am already booking appointments, in English, German, Spanish or Russian.

If you can't make it to the practice now and then, for example while travelling, individual sessions can also take place online.

How I work

Understanding what is going on

Together we look at what is weighing on you and how it developed. Often, simply seeing your own patterns more clearly already helps.

Goals that fit you

We work out together what you would like to change, and we go at your pace.

Practical and everyday

I work with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). That means we develop small steps and exercises you can try out between sessions.

A protected space

Everything you share is confidential. At the practice, you have a quiet hour just for yourself.

Frequently asked questions about the Cologne practice

How do I book an appointment?

Write to me via the contact form or by email and suggest possible time slots on a Monday or Tuesday. I will get back to you with a proposed appointment. Please don't include detailed health information in your first message.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can contact me directly, no referral from a GP is needed.

How much does a session cost, and who pays?

Individual therapy costs €153 to €168 per session (50 minutes), counselling from €153. Flexapie is a private practice without a statutory health insurance licence. For psychotherapy, private health insurance and Beihilfe usually reimburse the costs, please check with your insurer beforehand. Counselling and couples therapy are always self-paid. If you have statutory health insurance, you pay yourself. In certain cases, costs can be reimbursed through the so-called Kostenerstattungsverfahren. You apply for this yourself with your insurer, which involves a fair amount of paperwork. The first session is always self-paid. Invoices follow the German fee schedule for psychotherapists (GOP).

Can I switch between the practice and online sessions?

Yes. Individual sessions can take place online, for example if you are travelling or unwell. We simply arrange it in advance.

Individual sessions last 50 minutes, follow-up couples sessions 75 minutes. We usually meet weekly or every two weeks, depending on your needs.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. As a psychotherapist I am bound by professional confidentiality under German law (§ 203 StGB). What you share in sessions stays between us.
